Donna Lee

Presently, 14 years old Donna Lee is studying at Discovery College ESF with a full music scholarship in Hong Kong.
Donna started learning violin at the age of five.
At six, she was admitted into HK APA under the tutelage of Professor Mr Ivan Chan, she is currently studying with professor Gian Paolo Peloso
Donna has participated in multiple violin competitions in the last two three years:
▪️Bach International Music Competition young artist category first prize 2022
▪️second place in Fourth Melbourne Youth Music Competition” 2018
▪️first / gold award in 20th Osaka Music Competition 2018
▪️first / gold award in 2018 Singapore Chinese Cultural Music Exchange Little Envoy
▪️first in Hong Kong Outstanding Musician Competition
▪️second in Upper Primary group of Strings Category at Hong Kong Music Talent Award
▪️BTHVN international competition 4th place
▪️Amadeus international competition honourable mention
▪️First prize Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition ‘Paris’

In 2018 to 2020, she has served as a Concert Mistress for:
▪️HK APA JSE and JRE
▪️Sacred Heart Canossian School (Private Section)

Donna is also talented in vocal music.
At age of nine, she started her vocal music under the tutelage of Ms Bobbie Zhang from Opera Hong Kong. She is currently studying with Ms Margaret Yim.
For vocal music, Donna has participated in following competitions:
▪️HKIMAA 14-17 age category 2nd place
▪️Beethoven Young Musician Competition voice & junior artist division second prize
▪️first in “HKIMAA2020 Hong Kong International Music and Arts Festival Global Finals” young vocal group
▪️first in “2019 Hong Kong International Music and Arts Festival” young vocal group
▪️first in “2019 Hong Kong Charity Music Competition” vocal group

Donna has also started learning composing and conducting from Mr Joe Chan. She hopes to pursue her career as an all- rounded musician.
She will be performing in Hong Kong Cultural Centre in late November accompanied by an
orchestra.
