Dylan Sedille is eleven years old and a fifth-grade student. He began playing piano at the age of four. Within a short time, he was playing songs that he heard on the television and the radio. Dylan began his formal piano studies a year later. While Dylan studies songs by Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and Chopin, he also enjoys playing songs by David Lanz and John Schmidt and other composers. Dylan performed Rondo Alla Turca at his first- grade talent show. He has performed in several recitals.
Dylan was granted a full scholarship to Berklee’s City Music Preparatory Academy in Boston MA. He returned to the Academy again this year as a student of Professor Hey Rim Jeon. where he is learning jazz piano and musical improvisation.
Dylan is now furthering his studies as a student of Dr EunAe Lee. In November Dylan placed fourth in the 2022 Charleston International Music Competition. This was Dylan’s first musical competition.
When Dylan is not playing piano, he enjoys reading mystery and adventure novels. He also enjoys playing with his pets and playing pickle ball with his twin brother Ben.
