Easton “Shao” Kong is a 12-year old violinist from Rockville, MD. He is currently studying with Mr. Peter Sirotin. Shao is a member of the prestigious Maryland Youth Classic Orchestra. He plays first violin in the Orchestra’s Young Artists program. He started playing violin when he was four, learning from Professor Eka Gogichashvili (Baylor University, School of Music). He entered his first international competition in the New York Laureate International Music Competition in 2022 and won 3rd prize. Besides playing violin, he enjoys playing ice hockey and baseball.
