
In 2012, at the age of 6, I started my study of double bass at EAMCN with professor Miguel Leiria Pereira, who accompanied me until the age of 13, since then I have been accompanied by professor Vanessa Lima, at the same conservatory.
During my small career I have had the opportunity to work with several musicians like Théotime Voisin, Antonio Garcia Araque, Zlatomir Fung, Leo Genet, Domingos Ribeiro (Gulbenkian), Kiril Zlotnikov, Yo Yo ma, Gunars Upatnieks (Berlin Philharmonic), Xavier Foley. Conductors like Diego Matheuz, Pablo Heras-Casado, Ernst Schelle, Fernando Marinho, Kent Nagano, Roberto Gonzalez, Josep Caballé Domenech, Stanislav Kochanovsky and Daniel Harding. I participated in several orchestral, chamber and solo internships such as MACH Project in Festival Musica Sull’acqua, Moritzburg Festival 2023, Verão Clássico 2023 and 2022, Verbier festival 2022, AIDIMOS 2021, Internship in collaboration with OSP 2022, RCO Young 2021, Zêzere arts 2020.
I also premiered contemporary music by Daniel Schvetz, ngela da Ponte and Pedro Rocha. I received awards for chamber and solo music: 1st prize in the chamber music competition jovem.com with an early music group in 2023, 3rd prize in Verão clássico 2022 chamber music awards, 1st prize in the Nouvelles etoiles international music competition 2023, 1st prize in the Vasco Barbosa competition in 2021 (pre junior division) and 2023 (junior division), 1st prize in the AMAC competition in categories A and B, 1st prize in Concurso Jovem 2023 (CJ (an interpretation competition between all instrumentalists of all the conservatories of Portugal)), 2nd prize in Verão Clássico 2023 Double bass awards and Semifinal of PJM 2022 (age group up to 25).
