Efren Liu was born in San Jose, CA in 2015. At the age of 3, Efren started to learn piano and currently studies with Mr.Ory Shihor. He showed his talent in the following years and has won many awards. At the age of 8, Efren was invited to perform at Solitar Mozarteum in Salzburg and Carnegie Hall. He loves to share his music with others and spread the joy of music, and he is also interested in several different kinds of music, such as Jazz, Pop, and Blues.
His dream is to become a pianist who can inspire others with the power of music. In 2023, he won 1st prize of the Golden Swan International competition piano Solo Group A in the Bay area , and Most potential Prize of the Final Round In Washington D.C, the First Prize and Exceptional Young Talent Special Prize Winner of the 2023 International Music Competition “Salzburg” Grand Prize Virtuoso, and also has won the First Prize + Exeptional Young Talent Special Price of the 2023 Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition, the First Prize of 2023 Charleston international Romantic music competition.
Among his other interests are reading, writing, skiing and math.
