Eliana Shaham is a 16-year-old pianist based in NYC. She has been studying the piano for at the 92nd Street Y’s School of Music – currently, in the studio of Avner Arad, and previously, under Arielle Levioff. Eliana is the recipient of the Recanati-Kaplan Merit Scholarship for Excellence in the Arts, an honor she has held for the past nine years. Highlights include
performing as piano soloist with the Greenwich Village Orchestra in Saint Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals, biannual scholarship recitals at the 92nd Street Y, and annual performances at the Lott Residence. Eliana is also an accomplished vocalist. She was the youngest recipient of the 92Y Recanati-Kaplan Merit Scholarship for voice, where she studied under Ann Hoyt-Wazelle and Melanie Scholtz. She has been featured in the 92Y’s annual Street Fest, on WQXR, and in various on-camera appearances. Eliana is currently a junior at the Riverdale Country School, and in her spare time, enjoys dancing, writing poetry, and spending time with family and friends.
