Eliana Tang

Eliana Tang, 14, began playing violin at the age of three and is currently studying with Chen Zhao of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Pre-College division. At the age of seven, she won first prize at the United States International Music Competition and since then has become a 7x prizewinner of USIMC. In addition, Eliana has won top prizes in competitions such as the United States Open Music Competition and the Asian International Youth Art Festival. She was also invited to the Junior Bach Festival in 2021. Eliana joined the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra in 2020 and was previously a member of the Gradus ad Parnassum Orchestra and Assistant Concertmaster of the Livermore-Amador Symphony Youth Orchestra. She has performed in masterclasses by Adrian Anantawan and Xi Chen and coached by artists such as Ian Swensen, Li Lin, David Chernyavsky, and Amy Horman. Outside of music, Eliana is a competitive year-round swimmer and enjoys reading, writing, and working with rabbit rescues.
