Eliza Willett

Eliza Willett, age 19, has been studying violin since the age of 2. Previously, she studied with Yun Zhang and now currently studies with Elmar Oliveira at the Lynn Conservatory. Eliza was a member of the Bay Youth Orchestras of Virginia for thirteen years and served as the concertmaster of the Symphony level orchestra seven times. She has won numerous awards including first places in the York River Symphony and Hampton Roads Philharmonic Concerto Competitions, the HEAV Music Competition, Bay Youth Orchestras of Virginia Concerto Competition, and Honorable Mentions at the Richmond Symphony and the Bravura Concerto Competitions. In 2019, Eliza was selected to perform with members of the New World Symphony and under the baton of Michael Tilson Thomas in Miami, Florida. Eliza has spent most of her summers studying at music festivals including the Cremona International, Credo at Oberlin, Bowdoin International, Green Mountain Music Festival, and Madeline Island Chamber Festival. In 2021, Eliza was chosen as a finalist in the Lynn Concerto Competition, Lynn Chamber Music Competition, and MTNA National Conference Chamber Competition.
