I’m Elizabeth Zhang, a 12-year-old from the lovely city of San Diego. I’ve been exploring the art of piano for 8 years, and are grateful to have Dr. Xiao-yan Sui as my teacher. My all-time favorite composers are Mozart, Chopin, and Bach.
To me, playing the piano isn’t a drill where you hammer the keys over and over to produce a good sound. It’s about fully submerging yourself into the music and enjoying it! And it’s also how I express myself.
I completed CM Level 5 in 2022 and CM Level 8 in February 2024, both with State Honors. I competed in 2021 MTAC Sonata Contest.
When I’m not unleashing a whirlwind of notes on the piano, you can find me reading or enjoying some soothing Chopin melodies.
