Ellie Jean Millette

Ellie Millette is a sophomore at Artios Academies of Gwinnett and has been studying violin with Lee Taylor since she was six years old. During her freshman year, Ellie participated in the Emory Youth Chamber Program (EYCP) with the Vega quartet. This year, she is a member of the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra, playing great works of Tchaikovsky and Berlioz. In 2021 and 2022, Ellie has participated in the Bob Jones University Arts Festival. In June 2021, Ellie was invited to the first year of Ursus String Camp at the University of Tennessee where she took master classes and lessons from Dr. Ching-Yi Lin, Lee Taylor, and Dr. Wesley Baldwin. Here she was invited to perform the third movement of Bruch’s Violin Concerto in an honors recital and participated in the violin ensemble. When she is not practicing, Ellie loves to read classic literature, draw anything to do with fantasy, and travel with her family.
