Emily Elizabeth Sylvester

Emily Sylvester is a senior vocal Music Education major from
Churchville, NY currently pursuing her degree in Vocal Music education. Winner of the 2023 Roberts Concerto/Aria competition, Emily has performed as soloist with the Roberts Symphony Orchestra, and sang the role of Fiordiligi in the 2022 Roberts Opera Theatre production of Mozart’s Così fan tutte. She is a finalist in the London Classical Music Competition in 2024, she won first place in the National Association of Teachers of Singing District Competition in October 2023, was a finalist at the 2022 Civic Morning Musical Competition in the fall of in Syracuse, NY, where she also won the Ernst Bacon award, and won second
place in the 2021 NATS Eastern Regional Competition and was a semi-finalist in the 2021 NATS National Competiton, and won Best Supporting actress and was a Jimmy Award Nominee through Rochester Broadway Theater Leauge in 2018. Emily will perform the role of Belinda in the Roberts Opera Theatre production of Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas in April, and plans to begin her master’s degree in vocal performance in the fall of 2024.
