Emily Liu is a 12th grader at Wootton High School in Rockville, Maryland, and has studied the violin for 10 years, under the tutelage of Mrs. Lya Stern. She has been a musician in the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras (MCYO) for 9 years and is now a first violinist in the Philharmonic Orchestra. She also now serves as the concertmaster for the New Life Foundation Philharmonic Orchestra, playing for low-income and assisted living communities.
