Emily Sun

Emily started playing the piano when she was around ten years old, and since then, she has developed a deep passion for it. Her piano teacher encourages her to love music and challenge herself. She has participated in recitals; exams, such as ABRSM; and competitions, such as the Bach International Music Competition, United Kingdom International Music Competition, Charleston Music Competitions, Seattle Young Artist Festival, Seattle International Piano Competition, American Protégé, and more. She has received distinction, gold, silver, outstanding awards, and special prizes in multiple categories. She attended the Baroque Performance Institute at Oberlin College in the summer of 2024, where she enhanced her knowledge of baroque music by learning from music professors and professionals. There, she also learned to play different types of instruments that are similar to the piano, such as the harpsichord and fortepiano.
