
Emily T. Jin, age 9, from Lexington, MA, started piano lessons at the New England Conservatory (NEC) Preparatory School at age 5. She studies piano with Xu Guo and Motti Fang-Bentov. She has performed in piano masterclasses and seminars with renowned pianists and pedagogues such as Randall Hodgkinson, Victor Rosenbaum, Marina Lomazov, A. Ramón Rivera, Konstantinos Papadakis, Christina Dietrich, and Yutong Sun.
Emily has received various awards in music competitions, including first prizes in the Miclot International Music Competition (as well as the “Best Performance Award”), American Fine Arts Festival Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition, Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition, ISCHIA International Piano Competition, U.S. International Open Music Competition, and MMTA Bay State Piano Contest, as well as top prizes in the Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford and the Steinway Society of MA Piano Competition. Emily has performed in Boston (Pierce Hall at NEC), New York City (Lincoln Center), Rockport (Shalin Liu Performance Center), Rochester (Hatch Hall and Howard Hanson Hall at Eastman School of Music), Groton (Meadow Hall and Concert Hall at Groton Hill Music Center), and Reno (Davidson Institute Annual Summit Talent Show).
