Emma Waite, an 8th grader at the Special Music School in New York City, has been studying piano with Irina Nuzova since she was six years old. In 2017, she made her recital debut at Carnegie Hall and performed with an orchestra in Switzerland the same year. Since then, she has won 18 prizes in national and international competitions and has performed with orchestras in Switzerland and Italy. Recently, she performed the Grieg Piano Concerto with the Orquestra do Algarve at the Piano Festival’s Gala Concert in Faro, Portugal. In addition to playing the piano, Emma enjoys ballet, reading, and baking.
