I am Emma Xia, a 7th grader at Basis Independent Silicon Valley. I started playing piano when I was five, and I’ve enjoyed every practice, concert, or competition I participated in. Currently, I am a student at San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-college, where I study many aspects of music like musicianship, composition, and performance. Going to SFCM every week was a very enjoyable event to add to my music life, as I could meet students who love music as much as I do. I have won awards in competitions such as USOMC, Junior Bach, and the Artcial International Piano Competition etc. In my free time, I enjoy playing water polo and swimming.
