Emmett Bicker

Emmett Bicker is a junior at Hunter College High School and started piano in 2020 while locked down during the coronavirus pandemic by listening to music and watching performance videos. He began working with his instructor Yvonne Lau the following year and she continues to provide excellent support. He was a finalist in the Anselmo Academy International Youth Competition in 2022, placed third in the Charleston European Competition for piano, and participated in the Cremona International Music Academy during the summer of 2022. He enjoys computer science, teaching middle schoolers how to code, robotics, and playing pieces by Frédéric Chopin and ragtime by Tom Brier.
