My name is Eric Feng, I’m 14 years old. I am currently a cellist at the Los Angeles Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and Southern California School Band & Orchestra Association Honor Orchestra and I was part of a piano trio that won Honorable Mention in the RisingStars GrandPrix Berlin International competition. I was additionally part of a chamber group for more than 2 years. I won second place in the regional SYMF and the Diamond Bar Music Competition. In my area, I also won the solo second-place tie in the Greater Los Angeles section for the ASTA competition and went onto the state competition. I also participated in many masterclasses from prestigious teachers such as Clive Greensmith because of my win at the SYMF festival. At my school orchestra, I was also the principal cellist. In 2020, I won the American Protege Competition and will be performing at Carnegie Hall later. Right now, I’m playing and studying Elgar’s Cello Concerto movement 4.
