Eric Luo

Eric Luo is a senior at Henry B. Plant High School in Tampa, Florida. He has been playing violin since six years old. Henry B. Plant’s orchestra was invited to play at Carnegie Hall (2024) and National Music for All Festival (2023). Eric is currently the concertmaster of his school’s chamber orchestra and has performed numerous solos with his orchestra. Outside of school, he was “Principal 2nd” in the Symphony level of Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra (TMYO) in 2023 and part of the Florida All State Orchestra (2020-2021). In addition, Eric participated in numerous violin competitions such as Napolinova World E Competition (2021), Tampa Bay (2023-2024), Ocala Young Artist (2023-2024), and TMYO Concerto Competition (2022-2024). Aside from violin, he is very involved in math competitions and is the president of his school’s math club. He also enjoys learning new card magic tricks and performing them to his friends.
