I come from a very musical family. My aunt (a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Muic) gave me my first piano lesson when I was six years old and I continued studying with her for three years. We moved and I was without a teacher for two years and just played on my own until my great aunt (also a conservatory grad) heard a video recording of me one day and offered to teach me via FaceTime, as we live in different states. Since I began studying under her a year ago I have enjoyed tackling more difficult pieces and widening my repertoire. I am thankful for the gift of music that was passed down to me and I will continue using that gift to bring joy to others.
