Evita Teterovska, is a Latvian soprano from a small, quaint European town Alūksne, Latvia. Currently, she is participating in an Opera Artist Diploma program on full tuition scholarship, at the John J. Cali School of Music, Montclair State University just outside New York City. Ms. Teterovska earned her Master’s degree in Opera Singing from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Music Academy. She has worked with many acclaimed opera professionals including Grace Bumbry (opera singer) in Turkey; Jeffrey Goldberg (Assistant Conductor, Metropolitan Opera); Roger Malouf (Assistant Conductor, Metropolitan Opera); Joan Dorneman (Assistant Conductor, Metropolitan Opera); Deb Birnbaum (vocal professor, Lindeman Young Artist Program, Metropolitan Opera); Dan Sanders (Metropolitan Opera Pianist) and other professional artists and professors in New York City. She has participated in masterclasses in Luxembourg (Nei Stemmen competition, scholarship holder), and London Masterclasses (scholarship holder, Manchester, UK). Ms. Teterovska is a scholar of the Olgarhythm Foundation (London, UK). Her European debut was in the role of Adina (L’elisir d’amore, Donizetti) in Teatro Fenarolo di Lanciano (Italy), with conductor Gioachino Scomegna (Italy). In 2017, Ms. Teterovska participated in, and globally represented Latvia in the Manhattan Opera Studio Summer Festival. She performed at the Di Capo Theater in New York (The First lady from Magic flute/ Mozart) with conductor Benoit Renard (France) and stage director Lewis Ehlers (US). The program concluded with a Gala Performance at Carnegie Hall (NYC). Recital performances for Ms. Teterovska include, “A Midsummer concert in New York,” with colleagues Dr. Michael Fennelly (Metropolitan Opera pianist) and American/ Latvian host-actress Laila Robins, at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Latvia to the United Nations in New York City; and, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia to the United States of America, performances at the Latvian Churches in NYC and Washington DC. As a concert soloist, Evita Teterovska performed in a series of Manor concerts in Latvia with pianist Ventis Zilberts (professor at the Latvian Music Academy): Manor of Rūmene, Manor of Liepupe, Manor of Ungurmuiža, Manor of Dzērbene. In addition, she has performed in the major concert halls in Latvia: Ziemeļblāzma, concerthall Dzintari and Kongresu nams and etc. In 2021 May 10 Miss Teterovska performed soprano solo of Mahler’s 4th Symphony with the Montclair State University Chamber Orchestra, Nicholas DeMaison, conductor in the Alexander Kasse Theater, Montclair, NJ. In 2021 June 4 Miss Teterovska made her debut as Fiordiligi role in W.A.Mozart Opera Cosi fan Tutte in Lubbock, Texas, Jeffrey Peterson conductor and Eric Gibson stage director in Matador Opera Workshop in Lubbock, Texas. In June 10 Miss Teterovska gave a recital “Song to the Moon” with Bethany Self (pianist/ HGO) in the home of the Honorary Consul of Latvia in Houston Peter Ragauss house, Houston, Texas.
