Felix Xu is a 10th grader at Langley High School in McLean, VA, with a deep passion for music cultivated since he began playing piano at age 5. Over the past 11 years, Felix has achieved numerous accolades, including first prize in the 2024 Virginia State Audition and four prior State Auditions. He was also the Alternate winner in the 2024 Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Senior Division State Audition.
Felix’s accomplishments include top awards in prestigious piano competitions such as the Steinway Piano Competition, WMTA Hungarian Music Competition, Young Musician International Competition, and Asian American Music Society Competition, etc. He has performed at many different esteemed venues, including the Embassies of Hungary, Poland, Germany, France, and the Millennium Stage at Kennedy Center.
As the co-founder of “Hopeful Mind Outreach”, Felix has performed in 18 events since 2024 for children with mental disabilities and seniors, engaging over 700 audience members. The organization focuses on promoting mental well-being and fostering a positive spirit through music and arts.
Beyond music, Felix is an avid boxer and skier and enjoys playing tennis. He also serves as the president of his school’s Table Tennis Club, where he promotes camaraderie and competitive spirit among members.
