I began playing cello in 3rd grade in my local school system. My music teachers at school introduced me to orchestra, chamber, and solo playing, and in 4th grade I began working with a private teacher. Over the years, I have played in various ensembles in and out of school, including ensembles at New England Conservatory, POWERS Music School, and the Rivers School conservatory. This year, I am playing in the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, conducted by Benjamin Zander. Music is important to me because of how it allows me to challenge myself, connect with others and form meaningful relationships, and above all have fun.
