
Frank Luo, a 10-year-old from Syosset, New York, has a growing passion for classical music. He began his piano studies at seven, guided by his mentor Zhiye Lin. Frank’s dedication has led him to participate in various competitions, where he has been recognized with awards such as the First Prize and Gold Prize at the 2023 Spring VIVO International Music Competition, First Place at the 2023 Elite International Music Competition, and First Prize at the 2022 Nazareth College Piano Competition.
Frank has had the privilege of performing at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and Merkin Concert Hall, and is looking forward to performing with the North Coast Symphony Orchestra after winning the City of Encinitas Youth Concerto Competition.
Currently in fourth grade at South Grove Elementary School, Frank is enthusiastic about math and music. He recently received a perfect score at NYSSMA Level 6 Piano and was invited to perform at the Honors Piano Recital hosted by the Syosset Central School District. Beyond piano, Frank plays the viola and enjoys playing at the local youth orchestra, which broadens his musical scope and allows him to express himself through diverse musical forms.
