Franny Huang was born in Taiwan in 2006. She is currently a high school junior at Saint Francis High School in California. She started learning under Ms. Yuan-Ling Xu at the age of 8, for 3 years. After moving to California in 4th grade, she started studying under Dr. Carrie Tseng. From 2020-2022, she focused on passing her MTAC CM Exams, starting at Level 6, and finishing Level 10 with state honors in just 3 years. She has also performed in multiple concerts at the recital hall at Santa Clara University. Recently this year, she placed second in the American Protege International Piano and Strings Competition and is on her way to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York this summer. Besides that, she joined an ensemble for a year and has been playing with an orchestra for 5 years.
