I was first introduced to the flute in 4th grade. In elementary school, I played in the honors band and received the excellence in music award at the end of the year. For middle school, I auditioned for and was accepted into Bak middle school of the Arts. At Bak I played in Chamber ensembles, the Symphony orchestra, and in the Symphonic band. I have traveled to New York City with the symphonic band in 2019 where we won gold at the World Strides Music festival. Outside of school, I played with the Palm Beach Youth Orchestra in the symphony orchestra and woodwind chamber ensemble in 2019-2020. I have been promoted to the Youth Orchestra Philharmonic Orchestra for the 2020-2021 season. I am also a member of a Quintet of friends (we call ourselves the Mitzvah Quintet) that has played at local hospitals and nursing homes. This year, I was chosen as the piccolo for the 2021 Florida All-State 9-10 Band. In 2020, I was the first chair for the Florida All-State Middle School Band and was the Piccolo player for the 2020 Palm Beach County All-County Band. I have consistently scored Superiors at Solo and Ensemble. I attended The Flute & Piccolo Summer Institute at UCF in 2018, 2019 and 2020 (virtual) as well as Flute Camp at Stetson University in 2019. In the summer of 2020, I was accepted with a merit scholarship to Interlochen Arts Camp Winds and Percussion ensemble and the Orchestra but was unable to attend due to COVID-19. I am current freshman at A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach where I play in the Symphonic Band and am enrolled in Music Theory and Instrument Technique classes. Next school year I will be attending Interlochen Arts Academy with a merit scholarship.
