Grant Brady

Grant Brady is a violinist from Sandy, Utah who studies with Eugene Watanabe and is a scholarship student in the Gifted Music School’s pre-college conservatory program. As a soloist, Grant won the 2023 Utah Symphony Youth Guild Competition. As a chamber musician, Grant regularly performs with the Waterford Quintet, Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra. As a member of the Quintet, Grant recently won first prize in both the 2023 London and Brussels Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competitions and was featured at Royal Albert Hall in London last April. In addition to these accolades, Grant performs with his musician family under the name, “63 Strings.” They have performed for Utah Symphony Youth Guild events and in local faith-based settings. Grant’s previous violin teachers include Chandelle Fairbanks and Debbie Moench. In addition to music, Grant enjoys the outdoors and is currently working on his canyoneering guide certification. He loves Physics and is on the Waterford Robotics team.
