Ha Jin began playing the viola at age 9. Most recently, she has been awarded distinctions in the AMIS Solo and Ensemble Festival, Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, St. Petersburg International Music Competition, Hong Kong Talented Youth Music Competition, and HKGNA International Music Competition. She has attended Interlochen Arts Camp for two consecutive summers, and was principal violist of the Interlochen Symphony Orchestra in of 2023, and a violist for the World Youth Symphony Orchestra in 2024, performing orchestral works with violin soloist Ray Chen and conductors including Cristian Macelaru, Jader Bignamini, Delyana Lazarova and Rebecca Tong. She was also a violist in the AMIS High School Honor Orchestra and participated in the Asia Pacific Activities Conference Orchestra in 2024.
