Haley Chung

Haley Chung is currently a senior at Methacton High School. She began her violin studies at the age of 4 at the Community Music School in Trappe, PA, where she was a recipient of a merit scholarship. Haley’s most recent teacher was Lorenzo Raval. This is Haley’s fourth year in the Philadelphia Sinfonia, where she plays in the first violin section. A highlight this year was performing in the Kimmel Center. Haley also attended PMEA District 11 Orchestra since her freshman year. Aside from orchestral endeavors, she enjoys playing chamber music. In 2019, Haley and her Eridanus Trio won 2nd place in the Tri-County Youth Festival. She has also received honorable mention in the Vivace Competition.
Aside from classical music, Haley loves listening to various artists and attending musical performances. In school, Haley enjoys science, history, and literature. She competes in Academic Decathlon and is an officer for the club. Haley is also co-president of Tri-M Honor Society. Outside of school, Haley volunteers in the local community through National Charity League, where she is serving as president of her senior class.
