
Haley Harrison is a dedicated clarinetist and music educator from the Metro-East. As a clarinet instructor, she imparts knowledge and inspiration to budding clarinetists, both privately and throughout midwestern music camps. Her freelance career, starting in 2021, has seen her enriching her musicality in local pit orchestras for various productions.
Harrison holds a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Through +14 years of study, she has honed her musical skills under the guidance of mentors, including Eli Eban, Howard Klug, and Magie Beck.
Her versatility shines through her participation in ensembles such as the IU Wind Ensemble, Eastern Symphony Orchestra, and EIU Wind Symphony, where she displayed exceptional leadership and musicality. Harrison’s chamber experience further showcases her prowess.
Harrison’s talent has been recognized with awards and honors such as the International Clarinet Association’s ClarinetFest 2022 Young Artist Showcase, and winning the EIU Concerto Competition on Weber’s Concertino, as well as the EIU Honors Recital on Rozsa’s Sonatina. She secured gold at the NAACP’s 2018 Act-So regional competition and performed at the national level in San Antonio, TX.
