Hana Matsuda

Hana Matsuda began playing piano at the age of 3, initially studying with Hikari Koyama and, since 2023, with Kaori Wada. She advanced to the regional finals of the PTNA Piano Competition in Japan in 2023. In 2024, she won first prize in the Best Bach Performance category (Age Group II) of the Great Composers Competition. In 2025, Hana received second prize in the Charleston International Music Competition – International Piano Competition and was selected to perform at the Junior Bach Festival. She also won first prize in both Group A and Group B of the World Stage Tour 2025 Music Competition (Junior Category), and is scheduled to perform at the winner’s concert at the John F. Kennedy Center. In the same year, she placed first in the American Protégé International Competition and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. Hana also received fourth place in the Unite Status Open Music Competition. She has a special interest in the works of J.S. Bach and continues to explore classical repertoire with focus and passion.
