Hannah Chon

Hannah Chon, a gifted young pianist and cellist from Old Westbury, New York, is currently a ninth-grade student at The Wheatley School. She began piano studies at the age of five, quickly distinguishing herself through her remarkable musicality, technical command, and expressive artistry. Her dedication to her craft has led to numerous accolades, including opportunities to perform as a soloist on some of the world’s most distinguished stages, such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.

In addition to her success as a pianist, Hannah is an accomplished cellist. She serves as principal cellist of her school orchestra and has been selected to perform with the Nassau All-County Festival for three consecutive years, highlighting her versatility as a dual instrumentalist. She is also an active participant in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA), where she has consistently earned the highest ratings. Through competitions, festivals, and ensemble performances, she continues to broaden her musical horizons and deepen her artistic voice.

Equally committed to service, Hannah devotes her time to a nonprofit organization that provides free instrumental instruction to children with limited access to music education. In this role, she shares her knowledge and passion with younger students, aspiring to inspire the next generation of musicians and foster a love of classical music in her community.

With artistry marked by sensitivity, discipline, and integrity, Hannah aspires to continue her development as a pianist. Through heartfelt performances and a strong commitment to musical excellence, she seeks to captivate audiences and cultivate a deeper appreciation for classical music in today’s world.
