Hannah Oh, age 14, is a ninth grader who began to learn piano at 5 years old. She began with a first place win at the Young Artist Auditions hosted by the Raleigh Piano Teachers’ Association (RPTA) in March 2018, playing at the Intermediate I level. She continued to play in the Young Artist Auditions, securing third place in the Intermediate II level in 2019 and earning Superior ratings in subsequent years in the Senior I and Senior II levels. Hannah also performed at the Raleigh Piano Teachers’ Association Student Musicales in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, she placed second in the classical period category at the University of North Carolina School of Art Piano Weekend. Furthermore, she placed third at the Young Artist Auditions in the Young Artist I level. She was also a First Prize winner in the Age 14 Piano Category in the 2024 Baroque Music Competition. Recently, she received the Highest Honor at both the district and state level in the North Carolina Music Teachers’ Association Performance Festival (NCMTA).
