Harper Li, an 8-year-old young pianist, currently resides in Redmond, Washington State, USA. She embarked on her piano journey four years ago under the guidance of Ekaterina Melkamini. Harper takes delight in her practice sessions, dedicated to mastering technical exercises and delving into the emotive depth of the music.
Harper has attained distinction as a gold medalist in several competitions, including the Russian Piano Competition (adjudicator’s top pick) in 2023, the Pacific Northwest Piano Competition, and the Sonafest Festival in 2022, as well as earning the title of distinguished gold medalist at the Bach Festival and Virtuoso Artists Festival in 2021. During the summer of 2023, Harper had the privilege of studying with Irina Morozova from Mannes School of Music at the Prague Piano Festival.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Harper enjoys a diverse range of activities during her leisure time, such as reading, drawing, practicing gymnastics, and exploring the joys of travel.
