Helena Sprajcer

Helena Sprajcer is a 3rd grade student at Science and Arts Academy in Des Plaines, Illinois, and studies piano with Elaine Felder at the Music Institute of Chicago (MIC). She was a gold medalist of the Chicago Area Music Teacher Association Sonata-Sonatina Festival for 2019 and 2020, and a gold medalist of the North Shore Music Teacher Association Sonata-Sonatina festival for 2020. In 2019, at the age of 7, she won the Merit Scholar Award at MIC for 2019/2020. In March of this year, she was a first place winner of the American Protégé Music Talent Competition Spring 2020, and was invited to perform at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in June of 2021. Most recently, Helena was the first place winner of the ISMTA North piano competition in Primary Division. She enjoys composing, and plays violin as a second instrument. In her free time, Helena loves to play tennis, explore nature, spend time with her dog Matilda and rabbit Charlie, and hopes to some day work with animal rescue.
