
Born in South Korea, she has been playing the piano since the age of 6. Since then, she grew up dreaming of becoming a pianist, studied at Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and received a bachelor’s degree in piano performance at Seoul National University. In Korea, she was awarded prizes in the Youngsan Piano Competition, Samick Piano Competition, Korea-Asia Piano Open Competition, and various other piano competitions.
She also participated in the Seoul National University Piano Festival on the 100th anniversary of Debussy’s death. She studied with Sae Kyung Park, Hyoung Joon Chang, and Da sul Jung. After graduating from university, she continued her studies with Dr. Dror Biran and earned a master’s degree at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts at the Mead Witter School of Music, University of Wisconsin-Madison, with Prof. Christopher Taylor.
