My name is Ian Chau and I have been playing the violin for 12 years now. I started playing the violin when I was 5 years old. I am a senior at Seven Lakes High School. I have gotten Class 1 Solo at Regional Solo and Ensemble Contest in 2022, 2023, and 2024; Class 1 Solo at UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble in 2022 and 2024; Class 1 Ensemble at Regional Solo and Ensemble contest in 2024; Class 2 Solo at UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest in 2023; earned a spot in the Region 23 High School Orchestra in 2022. I also played in Houston Youth Symphony for 4 years in the years 2018-2021; completed ABRSM Grade 5 with the Merit Award; and completed ABRSM Grade 8. I am a section leader in my high school orchestra and in my free time, I enjoy watching racing like Formula 1, NASCAR, and Indy car. I also enjoy watching other sports like baseball and football.
