Ilyannie Tuason Gonzalez

Ever since I began my artistic journey at 7 years old, the ivory keys have been my constant companions and refuge. What then started as an early fascination with piano soon blossomed into a lifelong passion, guided by the idea that music isn’t limited to notes on a page; It’s an art and it’s meant to be shared. Over the years, I’ve taken my music to the competitive stage, securing awards including 1st place at the Gig Harbor Music Olympics for 4 consecutive years, getting invited to the Gig Harbor Honors Recital following my participation in MAP Adjudications, a Conductor’s award with the Bremerton WestSound Symphony, and through my performance of Anton Diabelli’s Sontaina in G Major Op. 151, a Distinguished Gold Medal from the International Viennese Classical Festival. While the classics have never ceased to captivate me, I also find immense joy in reviving the hidden gems of lesser-known composers, often overshadowed by more famous contemporaries. This has broadened my horizons and enabled me to share with my audience the vibrance of classical music to its fullest, including those off the beaten path. I am currently attending the Chopin Academy of Music, where I’ve continued to refine my skills and am excited to see where my musical path takes me next!
