Iris Wu is an eighth grader from New Jersey who has a passion for piano. She started playing piano at the age of 5 and has since performed at numerous recitals and competitions. This year, she won second place at Crescendo international piano competition and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. From age 9, she won first place several times for the Alabama Music Teachers Association competition. She has also performed at solo festivals and sonatina competitions. Her love for performing has also found an outlet in dance and musical theatre.
