Irmina Choi

Irmina Choi was born in 2008 in Georgia, USA. She began playing the piano at 11 years old, and since then, her dedication and passion for the instrument have grown stronger with each passing year.

However, Irmina’s passion for music extends far beyond just playing the piano. She’s immersed herself in the world of music, listening to different genres, attending concerts, and exploring various styles and instruments. Her playlists are packed with a diversity of genres, ranging from indie and hip-hop to classical and jazz. She believes that each track carries a unique story and emotion, offering a soundtrack to her daily life. Music is Irmina’s constant companion, as it’s always been there for her during late-night study sessions, long bus rides, and the mundane tasks that dot her routine. She can’t imagine a day without it.

Irmina strives to nurture her passion for music even further, whether it’s discovering new artists, studying music theory, or even making her own compositions, she actively seeks to expand her knowledge and immerse herself in the beauty of sound. Music provides Irmina with a sense of comfort and inspiration amid academic challenges and the demands of high school life. Nowadays, she shares her passion with others by offering music lessons for kids and musical therapy at senior homes.

Irmina has received the Award of Excellence from the Atlanta Music Teachers Association in 2018. In the following years, she won Outstanding Performer in state for the GMTA (Georgia Music Teachers Association) Pre-College Piano Competitions in 2019, 2021, and 2022. Irmina has also won gold for her Disney Solo & Ensemble national chorus competition in 2022.
