Isaiah Girges, the youngest of 5 children in his family, began formal musical training at the age of 6 by taking piano lessons. He continued with piano studies for 5 years, while also taking cello lessons for a short time. With 4 sisters who excel in piano, as well as string instruments, he decided to forge his own path and begin oboe lessons at the age of 11. He loved it so much, he excelled quickly and started with an orchestra after only playing oboe for 6 months. This is his first opportunity to show everyone what he has accomplished in 1 year of study with his wonderful teacher, Shannon Spicciati. Isaiah’s other interests include, baseball, reading and playing Minecraft. He also enjoys being creative in the kitchen and spending time with his large family.
