Jackson Bai is currently a sophomore at Horace Mann School in New York City. He has been playing cello since the age of eight and studies with Troy Stuart. Jackson has participated in the Heifetz International Music Institute, Junior Division, the Summer Chamber Music Intensive (SCMI), Third Street Music Summer Intensive Chamber Program and the Cincinnati Young Artists Virtual Cello Academy.
Jackson is currently a member of the New York Youth Symphony Chamber Music Program, Camerata Youth Orchestra, the Horace Mann Orchestra and String Sinfonietta. He also enjoys playing for the HarMonia ensemble, which is comprised of Horace Mann School high school students. HarMonia performs in annual concerts to help fund the Summer on the Hill program, which provides academic enrichment for high-achieving, disadvantaged students from the Bronx and Harlem, New York.
