Jackie Chang has been playing the flute for 7 years since she started in middle school band. She has been part of the Youth Symphony of Kansas City’s highest level ensemble for 4 years, Symphony Orchestra, and is currently the principal chair. She is also a 3 time Kansas All-State band member and most recently placed principal chair. In 2023, Jackie spent the summer at Interlochen Center for the Arts’ flute intensive camp. This year, she was part of Yamaha’s Music For All National Honor Band of America. She enjoys her school’s marching band and has been the flute soloist for 3 years, once playing for Yamaha’s national band competition.
