Jaden Shim is 13 years old and from Irvine, California. He began playing the piano at the age of 6 and continues to do so as a passionate student of Young-Sook Kang. For the past 5 years, Jaden has performed and participated in numerous piano competitions. In 2023, Jaden made his Carnegie Hall debut as a 1st place winner at the American Protege International Piano & Strings Competition. He also was a1st prize winner at the Pelican International Competition, 2nd place winner at the Open Satori Young Pianist Competition, and 3rd Place winner at the Amici Chamber Music Competition. In 2022, he was a gold medalist at the MTAC Theme Festival and a branch winner of the Southern California Junior Bach Festival. Outside of Piano, Jaden has many additional talents and interests. He enjoys playing percussion for his school band, reading, camping, and swimming competitively for Irvine Novaquatics.
