James Yi

James Yi, 15 years old, is currently attending Northwest High School in Montgomery County, Maryland. He started playing the french horn when he was in fifth grade. James has been a part of many top orchestras across Maryland, Virginia, and District of Columbia, such as Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra MCYO), American Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (AYPO), and New Life Foundation (NLF) . Since fall 2020, James has been currently attending the prestigious Juilliard Pre-College 2020. He has also won First Prize in Bellagrande International Music Competition. James loves playing the french horn and hopes to use this talent to perform for others, especially for those who may not have easy access to classical music .
