Jared Cooper

Jared Cooper, cellist, began his musical studies at the age of six on piano and began studying cello at age eleven. At the age of fifteen, he began studying with Phil Ince of the Tulsa Symphony. As an orchestral musician, he has held positions with orchestras such as the Palm Beach Symphony and the Florida Grand Opera, to name a few. As a chamber musician, he is highly sought after to give chamber recitals. Mr. Cooper has been on the faculty of the Porterville Summer Strings Program from 2013 to 2019 and has also served as mentor/faculty for other summer programs such as the Nat King Cole Summer Strings Program and the Philadelphia International Music Festival. Mr. Cooper received his bachelor of music degree at Texas Tech University under the tutelage of Jeffrey Lastrapes and received his master of music degree at Lynn University studying with David Cole. He currently resides in the Atlanta Metro area performing, recording, and teaching. He was also a cellist with the Bridgerton Experience in Atlanta and is now a core performer with the Candlelight concert series.
