Jason Song

Jason Song

Jason is currently fifteen years old in grade 10 and he is an avid instrumentalist. He began playing piano through curiosity at the young age of five. After some encouragement from his parents and facing many hardships throughout subsequent years of practice, Jason found the true beauty of piano and a long-lasting passion. This was obtained through playing duets with others and playing pieces he enjoyed. At around ten years old, Jason also started blowing the flute and discovered its exquisitely elegant nature. He decided to pursue an ARCT diploma for piano and flute because he knew that instruments were his true passion and that they would stay right beside him wherever he is in life. Jason has also won numerous awards in piano, such as a gold standing in Steinway international music competition and first prize in Crescendo International music competition. These led him to perform in the Weill and Zankel hall in Carnegie hall. Finally, he has participated in Charleston’s Spring Winter and Spring competition with his favourite piece, Cassandra’s Dream, winning fourth and third place respectively.
