I began my music career at the age of 6 when I first took music lessons at Yamaha Music School. I first joined their YMC course and began learning to play the Electronic Organ. Then at age 8, I took private Electronic Organ lessons at Yamaha, and won my first Kiwanis Music Competition. At age 9, I began taking private piano lessons at Yamaha as well as continued my lessons for the Electronic Organ. In the same year, I began playing at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church in Toronto, Ontario, and continue to be a frequent player there up to now. At age 15, I began playing at Seniors’ Homes, the first being Rest Haven Nursing Home in Aurora, ON, then Aurora Retirement Centre in Aurora, ON, and Sunrise Senior Living in Aurora, ON. From 2011 until March 2020 (stopping due to the pandemic), I played the piano every Saturday Morning at Providence Healthcare in Toronto, ON.
I earned my Yamaha’s Teachers’ Grade Certificate with Honours for the Electronic Organ in 2005, and my Royal Conservatory of Music Grade 10 Certificate (Teachers’ Grade) with First Honours for the Piano in 2009. Throughout my career I have also won multiple Kiwanis Music Competitions playing the Electronic Organ, and multiple Yamaha Music Competitions on the Electronic Organ as well.
