Jia Kim

Currently attending the Orange County School of the Arts, 15-year-old Jia Kim has been passionately playing flute for the past four years with Dr. Hye Sung Choe. Since starting her journey as a flutist at the age of 11, she has won numerous first-place awards at the Southwestern Youth Music Festival (SYMF), been a member of the Pacific Symphony Youth Concert Band (PSYCB), Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble (PSYWE), Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA), IUSD Honors Orchestra, and many more!
Jia has had the most memorable experiences with numerous composers, conductors, and directors such as Michael Markowski, Larry Tuttle, Thomas Kahelin, Dr. Gregory Whitmore, Angela Woo, Musical Director Carl St. Clair, Viet Cuong, Dr. Andy Collinsworth, Kristen Lawrence, Dr. Jermie Arnold, and more.
