Thank you so much to the organizers of Charleston International Competition for giving youths an opportunity to show themselves. Jiahe is on grade 5 now and she started her violin journey when she was 5 years old in the kindergarten. She enjoyed the moments each time when she had her music lessons. As time went on, she became a primary school student. There she joined the school’s orchestra and had more opportunities to play in group or solo performances. Last year, she met her new violin teacher Mr. Boegner, she was inspired by his enthusiasm for the music and dedication to the teaching. She’s growing a lot not only on technic but also on expression. That gives her more confidence. In February of this year, Jiahe attended the 5th Singapore Golden Lion Awards International Music Arts Festival and achieved the gold award in the Violin Children age 11-12 category. This year she has also joined the Singapore Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (SYPO) and she is going deeper and further on her music journey.
